|Sancta Maria, succurre miseris, iuva pusillanimes, |
refove flebiles, ora pro populo, interveni pro clero,
intercede pro devoto femineo sexu.
Sentiant omnes tuum iuvamen,
quicunque celebrant tuam commemorationem.
Magnificat Antiphon for First Vespers on Marian Feasts
|Holy Mary, help thou the suffering, strengthen the faint-hearted, |
comfort the sorrowful, pray for the people, entreat for the clergy,
interecede for all womankind vowed unto God.
May all acknowledge the help of thy prayer,
who celebrate thy holy festival.
