Text & Translation: Postquam factus homo

Postquam factus homo tua iussa paterna peregi
in cruce morte mea mortis herebum superando
Resurrexi, et adhuc tecum sum, alleluia
In regno superno tibi coequalis
iam ultra in eternum semper immortalis
posuisti super me manum tuam, alleluia
Laudibus angelorum qui te laudant sine fine
Mirabilis facta est scientia tua
Tibi canunt angeli
Alleluia, alleluia
Once made man, I carried out thy commandments, Father,
I conquered the Erebus of death by my death on the cross.
I am resurrected and still with thee, alleluia;
Of the same nature as you in the kingdom of Heaven
henceforth immortal for eternity,
Thou hath stretched out thy hand on me, alleluia
amongst the praise of the angels who celebrate thee everlastingly,
Thy wisdom has become astonishing
the angels address their song to thee.
Alleluia, alleluia
Psalmus. Domine probasti me, et cognovisti me :
tu cognovisti sessionem meam
et resurrexionem meam.
Resurrexi, et adhuc tecum sum …
Fregit inferni portas hodie leo fortis
Psalm: Lord, thou hast tested me and known me:
thou hast known my death
and my resurrection.
I am resurrected and still with thee, alleluia…
Today the powerful lion has broken the gates of Hell.
Verset Gloria patri, et filio, et spiritui sancto ;
sicut erat in principio, et nunc et semper,
et in secula seculorum. Amen.
Resurrexi, et adhuc tecum sum …
Verse: Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as
it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen.
I am resurrected and still with thee, alleluia…
