In yesterday’s post on Purge me o Lord I mentioned this secular part-song as having also been set by Tallis. Amazingly enough there are no good recordings of it in existence as a song, and the only YouTube video of it being sung by a choir isn’t one I’d want to post here. There are however very nice instrumental versions of it. One for viols and one for harpsichord you can hear both below. Enjoy :-).
