This medieval chant is from the Benedictine ritual during which a novice takes their vows and it is sung by them to this day. The text is from Psalm 119 verse 116. Enjoy :-).
Suscipe (Benedictine Ritual)
|116 Suscipe me secundum eloquium tuum, et vivam, et non confundas me ab exspectatione mea.||Uphold me, O Lord, according to your word and I shall live. And let me not be disappointed in my hope|
|Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto: |
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.
|Glory be to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.|
