Drakensberg Boys’ Choir: Viva La Vida 2010

November 1, 2011

What better way to start a month than with the Drakies? In this music video the Drakensberg Boys' Choir perform Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida'. This performance is from their Winter 2010 "Music In The Mountains" concerts and has some very good solo and duo dancing as well as the usual wonderful Drakie singing. Lyrics are below the fold. Enjoy :-)

Kearsney College Choir – Music of the Religions -

September 10, 2011

From Kearsney College Choir's  Japan 2010 tour. You know a choir is good when their conductor can walk off stage and leave them to get on with it …

If some of them look familiar to you it's probably because many of the boys from the Drakensberg Boys Choir go on to Kearsney College  when they leave Drakensberg Boys Choir School. Enjoy :-).

Drakensberg Boys’ Choir in Seoul

August 21, 2011

I'm an unabashed fan of the Drakensberg Boys' Choir and ever since I first saw it I think of this video every time I think of them. It's short, 29 seconds long, but it captures perfectly why they're such a great choir. It was shot back stage on  May, 12th 2010 at Seoul Art Center as they made their way to the changing rooms after their first concert of their 2010 Asian Tour. They'd just made the flight to Korea, they'd just given their first concert, so you'd expect them to be exhausted wouldn't you?
